Privacy & Data Policy
1. Who controls your personal data
This Privacy & Data Policy explains how personal data is collected, used, stored, disclosed, protected and otherwise processed in connection with VIDA.
It also constitutes VIDA's policy for the treatment of personal data under applicable Colombian data-protection law, including Law 1581 of 2012 and its applicable regulatory provisions.
The person or company legally operating VIDA will act as the Controller of the personal data described in this Policy, except where another party independently acts as a Controller under applicable law.
VIDA is operated by VIDA NETWORK LTD, a private limited company incorporated in England and Wales, United Kingdom.
Legal company name: VIDA NETWORK LTD Company number: 17507382 Registered in: England and Wales, United Kingdom Registered office: 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom Email: [email protected] Telephone: +84 93 557 7259 Privacy responsible person / area: VIDA Privacy Team
Privacy requests are handled by the VIDA Privacy Team using the contact details above.
Because the Controller is established in the United Kingdom, its processing may also be subject to the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and other applicable UK data-protection legislation. VIDA Colombia will also comply with applicable Colombian data-protection requirements where they apply to the service and its users.
2. Our approach to personal data
VIDA will process personal data for defined and legitimate purposes and in accordance with applicable requirements concerning legality, purpose limitation, freedom and authorization, data quality, transparency, restricted circulation, security and confidentiality.
VIDA seeks to collect and use information that is reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy and to avoid retaining personal data once the applicable purposes and lawful retention needs have ended.
Access to non-public personal data is limited according to the role and purpose for which access is required.
3. Personal data VIDA may collect
Depending on the features you use, VIDA may process the following categories of information.
Account and eligibility information may include:
- email address;
- username;
- date of birth;
- gender;
- city;
- height;
- weight;
- account identifiers and account status; and

Profile information may include:
- up to five profile photographs;
- biography;
- Here for;
- Perfect date;
- Nightlife;
- Dating style;
- Relationship status;
- Languages;
- Body type;
- Hair colour;

- notification language;
- notification preferences; and
- information needed to deliver or suppress an eligible notification.
If paid Premium purchasing is enabled, VIDA may also process transaction and subscription information as described later in this Policy.
4. Where the information comes from and what is required
VIDA receives information directly from you when you create or edit an account, upload content, send messages, submit verification material, contact support or otherwise use the service.
VIDA also generates or receives information through use of the service, for example when another member views, likes, favourites, messages, blocks or reports an account, or when VIDA's systems record security, activity or technical events.
The core VIDA signup requires information needed to create and operate the service, including email, username, gender, date of birth, city, height, weight and at least one Looking for selection.
A biography and additional profile attributes are optional unless VIDA clearly identifies otherwise at the point of collection.
VIDA does not ask members to state a separate sexual-orientation field.
Looking for is used as a private discovery preference rather than as a public profile field. Because information used in a dating or social-discovery context can sometimes allow inferences about a person's private or intimate life, VIDA applies the safeguards described in the Sensitive Data section where applicable law requires them.
This Policy does not itself constitute any separate express authorization that applicable law requires for sensitive personal data. That authorization is addressed separately in VIDA's Personal Data Authorization.
5. Public profiles and information visible to others
VIDA is designed around profile discovery.
Information selected for public display may include:
- username;
- displayed age derived from date of birth;
- gender;
- city;
- height;
- weight;
- profile photographs;
- biography;
- verification status;
- recent activity or last-active information;
- joined or account-age information where shown; and
- optional profile attributes that VIDA presents publicly.
Your email address and full date of birth are not intended to be displayed as public profile fields.
Your Looking for selection is not displayed publicly.
Private messages, blocks, private favourites, private account/security information, verification-submission photographs, internal moderation records and support records are not public profile content.
VIDA public profile pages may be accessible without signing in and may be indexable by search engines. Information displayed publicly can therefore be viewed, copied, cached, indexed, screenshotted or otherwise retained by people or services outside VIDA.
Removing information from VIDA cannot guarantee deletion of copies already made or cached by third parties or search engines.
Blocking another authenticated VIDA member restricts interaction and authenticated visibility according to VIDA's blocking rules. Because public profile pages may also be available on the open web, blocking does not by itself guarantee that a person cannot encounter public information while unauthenticated.
Account deletion removes the live public VIDA profile in accordance with VIDA's deletion process.
6. Why VIDA processes personal data
VIDA may process personal data for the following purposes:
- creating, authenticating and managing accounts;
- confirming eligibility to use an adult-only service;
- providing and displaying member profiles;
- operating discovery, search and filtering;
- applying the Looking for preference to discovery;
- providing direct messaging;
- operating message translation when requested or enabled;
- providing likes, favourites, views and other social features;
- displaying online or recent-activity information;
- providing service, email and push notifications;
- processing verification submissions and displaying verification status;
- preventing fraud, impersonation, spam, abuse and unauthorized access;
- investigating reports and safety incidents;
- enforcing the Terms of Use and Community Guidelines;
- blocking, suspending or banning accounts where appropriate;
- preserving evidence relevant to safety, disputes, enforcement or legal claims;
- providing customer support;
- operating Premium entitlement and, once enabled, paid transactions;
- maintaining accounting and transaction records where required;
- diagnosing errors and maintaining service reliability;
- securing VIDA's systems and member accounts;
- measuring and improving the service using appropriate operational information;
- complying with legal and regulatory obligations;
- responding to lawful requests from competent authorities;
- establishing, exercising or defending legal claims;
- processing privacy and data-rights requests; and
- carrying out a legitimate corporate transaction or restructuring subject to applicable legal protections.
VIDA will not use personal data for materially incompatible purposes without providing any notice or obtaining any authorization required by applicable law.
7. UK lawful bases for processing
Where UK data-protection law applies, VIDA must have an appropriate lawful basis for each processing purpose.
Depending on the activity, VIDA may rely on:
- Contract: where processing is necessary to create and operate the member's VIDA account or provide a service the member has requested, including core account, profile, discovery, messaging and Premium functionality.
- Legal obligation: where processing is necessary to comply with applicable legal, accounting, tax, consumer-protection, regulatory or other statutory obligations.
- Legitimate interests: where processing is necessary for legitimate interests such as protecting VIDA and its members, preventing fraud and abuse, maintaining service security and integrity, investigating misuse, establishing or defending legal claims, and improving the reliability of the service, provided those interests are not overridden by the individual's rights and interests.
- Consent: where VIDA specifically asks the individual to consent to an optional processing activity for which consent is the appropriate lawful basis.
- Other lawful bases permitted by UK law where they genuinely apply to the particular circumstances.
Where VIDA relies on legitimate interests, it will consider the necessity of the processing and balance those interests against the rights and interests of the individual.
If VIDA processes special-category personal data under UK law, VIDA must identify both an applicable general lawful basis and a separate lawful condition permitting the processing of that special-category information.
VIDA will not treat this Privacy & Data Policy or the Colombian Personal Data Authorization as though either document creates a lawful basis that does not otherwise exist under UK law.
8. Messages and translation
Direct messages are intended to be visible to the participants in the conversation and are not public profile content.
VIDA nevertheless processes message content in order to store, deliver, display, secure and maintain the messaging service.
Authorized VIDA personnel may access or review message content where reasonably necessary for:
- a member report;
- safety or abuse investigation;
- fraud prevention;
- moderation and enforcement;
- authorized customer support;
- preservation of evidence;
- legal compliance; or
- responding to a valid lawful request.
VIDA's current translation feature may translate eligible incoming messages into the recipient's selected VIDA interface language.
When translation is enabled or requested, VIDA verifies that the requesting member is authorized to view the existing message. Eligible message text may then be processed server-side and sent to VIDA's configured translation provider. The current translation provider is Cloudflare Workers AI.
The original message remains stored unchanged. A translated version may be stored privately as derived message data so that an existing translation can be reused without unnecessarily repeating the translation request.
VIDA does not send arbitrary browser-supplied text to the translation provider through the translation feature; translation is tied to an existing authorized VIDA message.
Translation may contain errors and is not a substitute for the original message.
Message drafts may also be kept locally in the member's browser for convenience and are not necessarily synchronized between devices.
If an account is deleted, eligible historical messages may remain visible to the other conversation participant under the Deleted user identity as described in the Account Deletion section.
9. Photo verification information
VIDA may offer optional photo verification.
The current VIDA verification process may require the member to submit a private photograph while performing a specified visual challenge.
The submitted verification photograph is not intended to become a public profile photograph.
Verification information may be accessed by authorized reviewers only for legitimate verification, moderation, security or evidence purposes.
A public verification badge or status reveals the result of the relevant verification process, not the private verification photograph itself.
The current VIDA photo-verification process does not represent that VIDA has performed a government-identity or criminal-background check.
If VIDA later introduces biometric-template generation, facial geometry processing, automated identity recognition or another form of biometric identification, VIDA must provide any additional notice and obtain any express authorization required before introducing that processing.
Unused verification uploads are removed through VIDA's account-deletion process. A verification photograph that is referenced by an existing verification submission may be retained privately where necessary as verification, moderation, safety or legal evidence.
Verification data is subject to the security, retention and rights provisions in this Policy.
11. Safety, reports and moderation
VIDA processes reports, blocks, account status, moderation evidence and related records to protect members, investigate misconduct, prevent repeat abuse and enforce VIDA's rules.
Reports may include information supplied by the reporting member, information concerning the reported member, relevant profile information, relevant messages or other evidence.
Authorized moderators or administrators may access information necessary to investigate and decide a report or other safety matter.
Internal moderation notes, reviewer identities, reporter information where protected, and administrative evidence are not displayed as public profile information.
VIDA may retain evidence after an account has been deleted, suspended or banned where retention remains reasonably necessary for member safety, investigation, enforcement, fraud prevention, legal obligations or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Moderation access and actions are subject to authorization controls and may be recorded for accountability and audit purposes.
VIDA checks account and authentication activity, message frequency, links, repeated-text patterns and reports to detect spam, scams and abuse. It compares keyed pseudonymous email, IP-address and message-pattern identifiers across accounts, together with account identifiers, recipients, timestamps and limited signal evidence. These identifiers remain personal data. This security system stores no additional raw message copies and sends no message text to an external scanning service. This does not change the separate message-storage or requested translation processing described above.
Technical controls may reject signup attempts, messages containing blocked links, or excessive messaging where that control is enabled. A signal does not automatically suspend or ban an account. The owner reviews security flags and makes account-enforcement decisions. Flagged verification submissions require owner review. To request review of a restriction, contact [email protected].
12. Sensitive personal data
VIDA is a social discovery platform for connecting with people, including friendship, local information and potentially dating. VIDA uses your gender and required Looking for selections together to filter mutual discovery. These choices may reveal or allow inferences about your sex life or sexual orientation. Looking for is private: other members receive matching results, not your selections.
New signup uses one combined checkbox authorizing personal-data processing, including gender and Looking for preferences, and acknowledging the linked Privacy & Data Policy. VIDA records that single affirmative action, the language and the exact versioned presentation; it does not record it as a separate preference-consent action. This authorization does not cover advertising, selling these preferences or unrelated profiling.
You are not obliged to authorize sensitive-data processing. Looking for remains required in the current product: declining prevents signup, and withdrawing preference authorization erases those selections and restricts discovery and messaging until you authorize again. You retain access to privacy controls, billing management and account deletion. Withdrawal does not invalidate earlier lawful processing. Minimal authorization and withdrawal evidence is retained separately from erased preferences.
Processing that reveals sex life or sexual orientation requires both an applicable ordinary lawful basis and a valid special-category condition under UK GDPR, as well as applicable Colombian protections. A recorded checkbox is not proof that those legal requirements are satisfied, and authorization cannot override a legal prohibition. Keep optional sensitive content limited to what you choose to share; do not include unnecessary sensitive information about yourself or others.
14. Premium and payment information
VIDA may offer optional Premium services.
When paid purchasing is enabled, VIDA may process information such as:
- selected plan;
- price and currency;
- transaction identifier;
- subscription identifier;
- payment-provider customer reference;
- payment status;
- Premium entitlement;
- paid-through date;
- cancellation status;
- refund or reversal information; and
- information needed for accounting, fraud prevention and customer support.
VIDA uses Stripe Managed Payments. For purchases sold through Link, Stripe provides the merchant-of-record service and Link is identified as merchant of record in Checkout and transaction communications. The applicable seller and payment terms are shown at purchase. VIDA NETWORK LTD remains responsible for the VIDA service and product support.
Stripe/Link collects payment credentials, billing and transaction information directly under its applicable privacy terms. VIDA does not store full card numbers or security codes. VIDA links its Auth UUID to limited Stripe customer, subscription, Checkout and webhook-event identifiers, selected plan, subscription/payment status, paid-through and cancellation information and timestamps. These records support access, cancellation, accounting, fraud prevention, refunds, disputes and reconciliation, including after account deletion where retention remains necessary and lawful.
Stripe and Link privacy information is available at https://stripe.com/privacy and https://link.com/privacy.
Transaction and subscription records may be retained for accounting, tax, consumer-protection, fraud, dispute and legal-compliance purposes.
16. International processing and data transfers
VIDA's operator and service providers may be located in different countries.
As a result, personal data may be transmitted to a processor or transferred to another controller outside Colombia when required to operate VIDA or for another purpose described in this Policy.
International processing may include infrastructure, authentication, storage, translation, email, security, push or payment services.
VIDA will distinguish, where applicable, between an international transmission to a processor acting on VIDA's instructions and an international transfer to another controller.
VIDA will use the authorizations, contracts, contractual clauses, legal exceptions or other safeguards required by applicable Colombian law for the relevant international operation.
Where a service provider acts as a processor, VIDA will require appropriate contractual duties concerning the permitted processing, security, confidentiality and protection of data-subject rights.
Members may contact VIDA for additional information about the safeguards applicable to international processing.
Where UK international-transfer rules apply, VIDA will also use a valid UK transfer mechanism where required. Depending on the destination and recipient, this may include UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to approved standard contractual clauses, another legally recognized safeguard, or an applicable statutory exception. Where required, VIDA will also carry out the applicable assessment of the protection provided for the transferred information.
17. How VIDA protects personal data
VIDA uses administrative, organizational and technical safeguards intended to protect personal data against unauthorized or fraudulent access, use, alteration, disclosure, loss or destruction.
Measures may include:
- authentication and authorization controls;
- restricted access to private information;
- separation between public and private data;
- private storage for verification evidence;
- database and application access controls;
- server-side protection of privileged credentials;
- security and audit logging;
- moderation-role restrictions;
- encrypted network connections where supported by the relevant service; and
- processes intended to investigate and respond to security incidents.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Members should protect access to their email account and devices and should promptly contact VIDA if they believe their VIDA account or personal information has been compromised.
VIDA will document and handle personal-data security incidents in accordance with applicable law and will make any required report to the competent authority within the legally applicable period.
18. Retention and database validity
VIDA retains personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy and for applicable legal, accounting, safety, fraud-prevention, dispute or evidentiary requirements.
VIDA's operational databases are intended to remain in force while the VIDA service operates. If VIDA ceases operating, personal data will be deleted, anonymized or retained only for the additional period reasonably required by applicable legal obligations, safety needs, outstanding disputes or other lawful retention requirements.
The applicable retention period differs according to the type of data and purpose.
While an account is active, account and profile information may generally be retained for the life of the account.
Public profile photographs and disposable account media are removed through the implemented account-deletion process, subject to technical completion and any lawfully retained evidence.
Messages, conversation records and related metadata may remain after one participant deletes an account so the surviving participant can retain eligible conversation history and so VIDA can preserve safety or moderation evidence.
Reports, moderation records, block-at-deletion information, verification submissions and verification evidence may be retained after account deletion where reasonably necessary for safety, enforcement, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, legal compliance or legal claims.
Derived translations may be retained together with the corresponding message for the period reasonably necessary to operate the translation feature and preserve eligible conversation history.
Push-subscription and preference data is retained while required to provide the push service and is removed, expired or disabled according to VIDA's subscription/account lifecycle.
Transaction, accounting and consumer records may be retained for periods required by applicable law.
Records showing legal notices, authorizations, acceptances and privacy requests may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to demonstrate compliance.
VIDA will periodically review retention needs and should delete or anonymize personal data when no continuing authorized or lawful purpose justifies retaining it.
Scheduled cleanup runs every five minutes when installed and operating. It removes signup, message-pattern and imported authentication correlation samples older than 24 hours; flags and their associated review history older than 90 days; and security configuration audit history older than 180 days. Disabled blocked-host entries are removed after 90 days; active entries remain until removed or disabled. Identifiers in security records can remain after account deletion until their retention period expires. These periods apply to this security system, not the original messages, provider authentication logs, billing records or immutable legal evidence, which follow their separate retention rules. Evidence separately preserved for a lawful dispute or legal obligation is subject to that purpose and its applicable retention requirements.
Use Privacy controls in Legal & Safety to withdraw dating-preference consent without contacting support. Withdrawal takes effect in VIDA's database before success is shown. Previously downloaded public information cannot be recalled. Minimal consent and withdrawal evidence is retained separately from your erased preferences to demonstrate the request and legal compliance. For other data-rights requests or complaints, contact [email protected]; describe your request and the account concerned without sending passwords or payment-card details. You may also submit and track a request through Legal & Safety → Requests and complaints.
The requests and complaints service records your submission, contact email if supplied, a private receipt reference, timestamps, status and VIDA's responses. Keep the receipt securely: it permits access to that request. Only the authorized owner can review and answer requests. Do not include passwords, full payment-card numbers or unnecessary third-party sensitive information. Records remain while the request is open and are removed by scheduled cleanup 180 days after closure, unless the owner records a specific legal or dispute-related retention reason. Retention holds are marked for review every 90 days; they do not expire automatically during a dispute. The private receipt stops working when its records are removed, so retain your downloaded copy. No email notification is promised; check the receipt for responses. This service is not an emergency channel.
19. Account deletion and retained records
Members can use VIDA's account-deletion process to permanently close their VIDA account.
Deletion removes the live public profile and disables access to the deleted VIDA identity.
The account cannot simply be restored after completed deletion. A later signup creates a new identity.
The deletion process removes public profile photographs and unused verification uploads according to VIDA's implemented deletion workflow.
Certain records are deliberately not destroyed immediately.
VIDA may retain:
- the deleted identity record in a tombstoned form;
- existing conversations and message history;
- message timestamps and receipt information;
- reports;
- existing verification submissions;
- verification photographs that remain referenced as private evidence;
- block-at-deletion protections;
- moderation and safety evidence; and
- records required for legal, fraud, accounting or dispute purposes.
Where eligible history remains visible to another conversation participant, the deleted member is presented as Deleted user and live profile/photo/activity access is removed.
Retained information remains subject to access restrictions and may not be used for unrelated purposes merely because it has been retained.
A deletion request does not require VIDA to erase information that VIDA must or may lawfully retain, but retention must remain limited to a continuing legitimate and authorized purpose.
20. Adults only and information concerning minors
VIDA is strictly for people aged 18 or over.
VIDA does not permit a person under 18 to create or use a member account.
If VIDA reasonably determines that an account belongs to a person under 18, VIDA may restrict or remove the account and process limited information as reasonably necessary for safety, investigation, reporting, legal compliance and prevention of repeat misuse.
Members must not use VIDA to exploit, groom or sexualize minors or to distribute unlawful content involving minors.
Information concerning minors that appears incidentally in reports, evidence or unlawful user content will be handled with enhanced care and only for appropriate safety, legal or reporting purposes.
21. Your personal-data rights
Subject to applicable law, a personal-data subject may have the right to:
- know and access personal data held about them;
- update and rectify inaccurate, incomplete or misleading information;
- request proof of an authorization where legally applicable;
- be informed, upon request, about the use made of their personal data;
- submit complaints to the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio for infringements of applicable data-protection law after completing any prior procedure required by law;
- revoke an authorization where revocation is legally available;
- request deletion or suppression where legally available; and
- access their personal data free of charge in the circumstances required by law.
Revocation or deletion is not absolute. VIDA may retain or continue processing information when a legal or contractual duty, safety requirement, legal claim, rights of another person or another applicable lawful basis requires or permits continued retention.
Withdrawing authorization does not automatically make prior lawful processing unlawful.
Where UK data-protection law applies, additional rights may include, subject to the applicable legal conditions and exemptions:
- the right to restrict processing;
- the right to object to certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests;
- the right to data portability where applicable;
- the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, without affecting processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal;
- rights concerning qualifying solely automated decisions; and
- the right to complain to the United Kingdom Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
22. How to exercise your data rights
The person or area responsible for privacy requests is:
VIDA Privacy / Data Protection Responsible person / area: VIDA Privacy Team Email: [email protected] Registered office / service address: 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom Telephone: +84 93 557 7259
Until a dedicated privacy address is introduced, requests may be sent to [email protected] with a subject such as “Privacy Request”.
A request should contain enough information to identify the member and the right being exercised, together with relevant facts and any supporting information reasonably necessary to process the request securely.
VIDA may take reasonable steps to verify the identity and authority of the person making the request before disclosing or changing personal data.
Consultations requesting access to personal information will be answered within a maximum of ten (10) business days from receipt.
If a consultation cannot be completed within that period, VIDA will inform the requester of the reason for the delay and the new response date, which will not exceed five (5) additional business days after the original period.
Claims concerning correction, updating, deletion, revocation or an alleged breach will be processed within a maximum of fifteen (15) business days counted from the day after receipt of the complete claim.
If a claim cannot be completed within that period, VIDA will inform the requester of the reason for the delay and the new response date, which will not exceed eight (8) additional business days after the original period.
If a claim is incomplete, VIDA may request the missing information within five (5) days after receiving it. If the requester does not provide the requested information within two (2) months from that request, the claim may be treated as withdrawn in accordance with applicable law.
If VIDA receives a claim that should be handled by another competent person or area, VIDA will transfer it as required and inform the requester.
Where required by Colombian law, a complaint to the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio concerning the handling of personal data must first go through the applicable consultation or claim procedure with VIDA.
Where a request is governed by UK data-protection law, VIDA will also comply with the applicable UK response period. UK GDPR rights requests are generally handled without undue delay and within one calendar month, subject to any lawful extension, clarification or exception permitted by applicable law.
Where both Colombian and UK requirements apply, VIDA will comply with the applicable requirements of each regime.
23. Changes, effective date and validity
Version: privacy-v5 Effective date: 16 October 2026 Last updated: 16 October 2026
This Policy will take effect on the effective date shown above.
The VIDA databases governed by this Policy will remain in force for the duration necessary to fulfil the authorized purposes described in this Policy and the additional legally permitted retention periods described above.
VIDA may update this Policy to reflect changes in law, service functionality, providers, processing activities, security practices or business operations.
A substantial change affecting the content of an existing authorization or the way personal data is processed will be communicated before implementation where required by applicable law.
Where a new purpose or type of processing requires a new or additional authorization, VIDA will obtain that authorization before carrying out the processing where legally required.
Previous versions may be retained to demonstrate what Policy was in effect at a particular time.
Visitor measurement
When enabled, VIDA measures page views and approximate daily visitor totals to understand use of and improve the service. Your browser sends a page-view signal without your page address, account identifier, profile information or message content. Our existing hosting and infrastructure providers (Cloudflare, DigitalOcean and Supabase) support this processing. The server briefly uses the request's IP address and a broad browser/operating-system category to calculate a site-specific identifier with a new random key each day. The analytics database does not store raw IP addresses or raw browser strings. The temporary identifier and limited rate-control information are used only for that day's counting; they are not linked to accounts or used to follow people across days or websites. They expire at the end of the measurement day and are removed by an automatic cleanup scheduled every minute. During an outage, removal completes when service resumes; collection stops if cleanup health becomes stale. Aggregate daily totals are retained for historical service statistics. A returning visitor may count again on a different day. Shared networks, browser changes, blocking and technical failures mean these figures are estimates, not counts of distinct individuals. You can object free of charge using “Exclude this browser from visit measurement” on the Cookie Policy page. We also respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Objecting does not affect access to the service.
10. Social activity, presence and notifications
VIDA processes interactions such as views, likes, favourites, messages and activity status to provide the social features of the service.
Some information, such as online or last-active status, may be visible to other members or public-profile visitors as part of VIDA's trust and activity features.
Other information, including who you block and internal notification state, is private.
VIDA may generate in-app notifications from social activity.
Web Push enrollment is currently unavailable in VIDA. In-site Notifications remain available. If Web Push is reintroduced, browser or operating-system permission will be required before enrollment.
A push subscription includes technical information needed to route the notification, such as the endpoint and subscription keys.
Push notification content may appear outside the VIDA website, including on a device lock screen or notification centre, depending on the user's operating-system and browser settings. Anyone with access to that device may therefore be able to see notification content.
Members can revoke any existing notification permission in their browser or operating-system settings. VIDA currently provides no Web Push enrollment controls.
