Terms of Use
1. About VIDA
VIDA is an online social discovery, dating and communication service that allows adults to discover profiles, communicate with other members and use related social features.
In these Terms, “VIDA”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the legal operator of the VIDA service.
Operator: VIDA NETWORK LTD Company number: 17507382 Registered in: England and Wales, United Kingdom Registered office: 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom Contact email: [email protected] Telephone: +84 93 557 7259
These Terms govern your access to and use of VIDA, including the website, member areas, messaging, Premium features and related services.
VIDA NETWORK LTD was incorporated on 8 October 2026. VIDA Colombia primarily serves users in Colombia; it has no Colombian company or fixed Colombian office.
2. Acceptance of these Terms
Before creating or continuing to use a VIDA account where acceptance is required, VIDA may ask you to affirmatively accept these Terms and the Community Guidelines.
Your acceptance may be recorded together with the applicable version of the Terms and Community Guidelines and other information reasonably necessary to maintain a reliable record of that acceptance.
Silence, inactivity or failure to reject these Terms will not by itself constitute acceptance where express acceptance is required.
You should read these Terms before accepting them. If you do not agree to them, you must not create or continue using an account where acceptance is required.
Other policies, including the Privacy & Data Policy, Personal Data Authorization, Payments, Cancellations & Refunds Policy, Cookie Policy, Copyright & IP Complaints Policy and Safety & Reporting information, also apply where relevant.
Acceptance of these Terms does not replace any separate consent, authorization or acceptance that VIDA is required to obtain for particular activities, including personal-data processing, sensitive-data processing, payments or automatic subscription renewals.
3. Eligibility and age requirement
VIDA is strictly for adults aged 18 or over.
You may create and use an account only if:
- you are at least 18 years old;
- you have legal capacity to enter into these Terms;
- you provide truthful information about your age and identity;
- you are not prohibited by applicable law from using the service; and
- your account has not previously been permanently removed by VIDA unless we expressly permit you to return.
We may request reasonable information or verification where necessary to confirm eligibility, protect members or investigate suspected misuse.
Accounts belonging to persons under 18 are prohibited and may be removed immediately.
4. Your account
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account and for maintaining control of the email address and devices used to access it.
You must not:
- create an account for another person without authorization;
- impersonate another person;
- provide deliberately false age, identity or material profile information;
- sell, transfer or share control of your account;
- create accounts to evade a suspension, ban or restriction; or
- use automated systems, bots, scraping tools or unauthorized software to access VIDA.
Usernames, profile information and other account features are subject to VIDA's technical and safety rules.
VIDA may require you to change content or account information that violates these Terms, infringes another person's rights, creates a security risk or is reasonably likely to mislead other members.
5. Profiles, discovery and communication
VIDA is designed to allow members to discover and communicate with other members without requiring a mutual match.
Depending on account type, location, availability and product configuration, features may include profile discovery, profile views, likes, favourites, direct messaging, notifications, search and filtering.
Some features may be subject to limits, cooldown periods or Premium access.
VIDA does not guarantee that:
- another member will respond to you;
- information supplied by another member is accurate;
- members shown to you are currently available or interested in meeting;
- a particular number or type of profiles will be available in any location; or
- interactions will result in friendship, dating, a relationship or an in-person meeting.
You decide whether and how to interact with other members.
6. Member conduct
You must use VIDA lawfully and respectfully.
You must not use VIDA to:
- threaten, harass, abuse, stalk or intimidate another person;
- promote or engage in violence, exploitation or coercion;
- distribute unlawful, fraudulent or deliberately deceptive content;
- solicit money through fraud, deception or impersonation;
- send spam or mass unsolicited communications;
- distribute malware, malicious links or harmful code;
- obtain or disclose another person's private information without authorization;
- circumvent blocks, account restrictions or safety systems;
- exploit, groom or sexualize minors;
- publish intimate or sexual material of another person without their consent;
- violate intellectual-property, privacy, publicity or other legal rights; or
- use VIDA for conduct prohibited by the Community Guidelines.
The Community Guidelines form part of the rules governing use of VIDA and contain additional detail about prohibited behavior and content.
7. Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit to VIDA, including profile text and photographs, subject to the rights of any other person appearing in that content.
You give VIDA a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, format and technically process your content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, moderate, improve and provide the service.
This licence does not transfer ownership of your content to VIDA.
You confirm that you have the necessary rights and permissions to upload the content you submit.
You must not upload content that unlawfully infringes another person's copyright, privacy, image rights or other rights.
When your account is deleted, public profile content will be removed in accordance with VIDA's deletion process and applicable retention requirements. Certain records may be retained where reasonably necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, safety, dispute resolution, enforcement or preservation of reports and evidence.
8. Messages and moderation
Direct messages are intended for communication between members and are not displayed publicly as profile content.
However, you should not treat VIDA messages as inaccessible to VIDA itself.
VIDA may access, process, preserve or review messages where reasonably necessary to:
- operate the messaging service;
- investigate reports, abuse, fraud or safety incidents;
- enforce these Terms or the Community Guidelines;
- protect members or the service;
- provide authorized support;
- comply with legal obligations or lawful requests; or
- maintain records needed for moderation or evidence.
Access to messages must be handled according to VIDA's privacy, security and authorization controls.
Deleting or hiding a conversation from your own inbox does not necessarily erase the underlying records from VIDA's systems.
9. Verification
VIDA may provide photo verification or other verification features.
Unless VIDA expressly states otherwise for a particular verification process, VIDA does not conduct criminal background checks on members and does not verify every member through government-issued identity documents.
A Photo Verified badge or similar status means only that the member successfully completed the specific VIDA verification process associated with that badge at the relevant time.
Photo verification may be used to assess whether a submitted verification image corresponds sufficiently with the person represented in the account's profile photographs and whether the requested verification challenge was completed. It is not a criminal background check and does not establish or guarantee a member's legal identity, name, age, relationship status, criminal history, financial trustworthiness, intentions, honesty, safety or suitability.
VIDA does not guarantee that verification systems will detect every false, stolen, manipulated or misleading profile.
You remain responsible for deciding whether to communicate with, trust or meet another member and should continue to use appropriate safety precautions even when a member displays a verification badge.
Attempting to falsify, manipulate or circumvent a verification process may result in rejection, restriction, suspension or removal of an account.
Nothing in this section limits any responsibility VIDA has under applicable law.
10. Translation and automated features
VIDA may provide automated translation or other machine-assisted features to make communication easier.
Translations may contain mistakes, omissions or changes in meaning. You should not rely solely on automated translation for important, sensitive, legal, financial, medical or safety-related communications.
VIDA may use third-party infrastructure or automated processing providers to deliver these features as described in the Privacy & Data Policy.
12. Safety and interactions with other members
VIDA provides a platform through which adults can discover and communicate with other members. VIDA does not guarantee the identity, intentions, legitimacy, truthfulness, conduct, compatibility or safety of any member.
VIDA is not a guarantor of personal relationships, conversations, meetings, transactions or arrangements between members.
Members may provide inaccurate or misleading information or may use online services for improper purposes, including fraud, scams, harassment, abuse or other unlawful conduct. VIDA uses safety and moderation measures intended to reduce misuse, but no moderation, reporting, blocking or verification system can eliminate every risk.
You are responsible for deciding whether, when and how to interact with another member, whether to move a conversation outside VIDA, and whether or where to meet someone in person.
Use appropriate precautions before sharing personal information, financial information, intimate material or other sensitive information, leaving the platform, or meeting another person.
Never send money, provide banking credentials or make a financial transfer to somebody merely because you met them through VIDA.
Moving a conversation to another service may reduce VIDA's ability to identify, investigate or preserve evidence of misconduct occurring outside VIDA.
VIDA provides blocking and reporting tools and may investigate credible safety concerns, preserve relevant evidence and take action permitted by these Terms, the Community Guidelines and applicable law.
More information is available in Safety & Reporting.
Nothing in this section excludes or limits any duty or liability that VIDA cannot lawfully exclude.
13. Blocking, reporting and enforcement
Members may be able to block or report other members.
VIDA may investigate suspected violations using available account information, content, messages, reports, technical information and moderation records, subject to applicable privacy and data-protection requirements.
Depending on the circumstances, VIDA may:
- remove content;
- restrict access to particular features;
- issue warnings;
- temporarily suspend an account;
- permanently ban an account;
- prevent creation of replacement accounts; or
- take other proportionate action needed to protect members, the service or legal rights.
VIDA may act without advance notice where reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, investigation integrity or protection of the service.
14. Account deletion
You may request deletion of your VIDA account using the account-deletion process provided by VIDA.
Account deletion stops recurring billing before VIDA confirms completion: VIDA expires an open Checkout and immediately cancels its Stripe subscriptions without generating a final invoice or automatic prorated refund. An already scheduled cancellation is finalized immediately. If billing cancellation cannot be confirmed, deletion remains pending and the member must retry or contact [email protected]. Deletion ends access to the account; it does not erase billing evidence or remove any applicable refund, retract or payment-reversal right.
Deletion does not necessarily require immediate destruction of every record. VIDA may retain limited information where reasonably necessary or legally required for matters such as safety reports, fraud prevention, financial records, dispute resolution, enforcement, legal claims and compliance obligations.
Messages already sent to another member may remain as part of that member's conversation history, while your account identity may be replaced or limited in accordance with VIDA's deletion process.
Further information is provided in the Privacy & Data Policy.
15. Availability and changes to the service
VIDA may add, remove, modify, test or discontinue features as the service develops.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, technical problems, security events, third-party services or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where a change materially affects a paid service already purchased, VIDA will respect applicable consumer rights.
16. Intellectual property
The VIDA name, branding, software, interface, design, databases and other material created for the service are owned by or licensed to VIDA and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use VIDA for its intended purpose.
They do not give you ownership of VIDA's technology or branding.
Copyright and intellectual-property complaints may be submitted through the procedure described in Copyright & IP Complaints.
17. Third-party services
VIDA may rely on third-party providers for functions such as hosting, authentication, payments, email, notifications, translation, security and infrastructure.
Third-party services may also have their own terms or privacy rules where they interact directly with you.
VIDA is not responsible for unrelated external websites, services or transactions merely because another member links to them or because a link appears through the service.
18. Service disclaimers and limitation of liability
VIDA will provide the service subject to the obligations imposed by applicable law.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, VIDA is provided on an “as available” basis. VIDA does not guarantee that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure or free from technical defects, or that every defect will immediately be identified or corrected.
VIDA does not guarantee:
- the accuracy, completeness or truthfulness of content or information supplied by another member;
- the identity, intentions, legitimacy, conduct, compatibility or safety of another member;
- that another member will reply, communicate, meet or continue an interaction;
- that a particular number, category or type of members will be active or available;
- that use of VIDA will result in friendship, dating, a relationship or any other particular social outcome; or
- that moderation, blocking, verification or other safety systems will identify or prevent every instance of fraud, misuse or unlawful conduct.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, VIDA will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or similar losses arising solely from the conduct of another member, user-generated content, independent off-platform dealings between members, or circumstances outside VIDA's reasonable control, where such liability may lawfully be excluded or limited.
Subject to all mandatory rights and exclusions stated below, and only to the extent permitted by applicable law, the total aggregate liability of the VIDA operator arising out of or relating to the service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of:
- US$100, or the equivalent amount in the currency applicable to the claim; or
- the total amount actually paid by the claimant to VIDA during the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
This monetary limitation applies only to liabilities that applicable law permits VIDA to limit.
Nothing in these Terms:
- limits responsibility that applicable law expressly imposes on VIDA;
- requires a consumer to waive mandatory statutory rights;
- transfers to a member a legal responsibility that belongs to VIDA;
- limits rights arising from VIDA's unlawful handling of personal data where those rights cannot legally be limited;
- excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or any other liability that applicable law does not permit to be excluded or limited; or
- prevents a consumer or data subject from exercising non-waivable legal remedies.
Where applicable law gives a consumer greater rights or remedies than the limitation stated above, those mandatory rights and remedies prevail.
The fact that VIDA provides moderation, reporting, verification or safety features does not constitute a guarantee that every member or interaction is safe.
19. Changes to these Terms
VIDA may update these Terms prospectively to reflect changes in the service, applicable law, safety practices, legal requirements or business operations.
The current version and its effective or updated date will be displayed on this page.
VIDA will not use an update to these Terms to retroactively remove mandatory consumer rights or other rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
Where a change is material, VIDA may provide reasonable notice and, where appropriate or legally required, ask you to affirmatively accept the updated version before continuing to use some or all of the service.
Previous acceptance records may be retained to show which version applied at a particular time.
Rights and obligations that arose under an earlier version will remain subject to applicable law and any mandatory protections that cannot legally be excluded.
20. Applicable law and consumer rights
These Terms operate subject to applicable mandatory law.
Where Colombian consumer-protection, personal-data or other mandatory rules apply, those rights are not waived by these Terms.
Eligible consumers may also exercise rights or submit complaints to the competent Colombian authorities, including the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio where applicable.
Nothing in these Terms prevents either party from using rights, remedies or competent authorities that cannot legally be excluded by contract.
21. Contact and consumer complaints
Questions concerning these Terms or the VIDA service may be sent to:
Email: [email protected]
Operator: VIDA NETWORK LTD Company number: 17507382 Registered in: England and Wales, United Kingdom Registered office: 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom Contact email: [email protected] Telephone: +84 93 557 7259
VIDA NETWORK LTD was incorporated on 8 October 2026. VIDA Colombia primarily serves users in Colombia; it has no Colombian company or fixed Colombian office.
Where required by applicable consumer-protection law, VIDA will provide an accessible mechanism for consumer petitions, complaints and claims that allows the consumer to retain evidence of submission, including relevant filing information such as date, time and reference information, and to follow the status of the request.
The operational details and access point for that mechanism will be published before paid commercial service begins.
VIDA will also provide any consumer-authority information or links required by applicable law.
22. Your responsibility for third-party claims
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you are responsible for third-party claims, losses, liabilities, costs or reasonable legal expenses arising from:
- content you submit or distribute through VIDA that unlawfully infringes another person's rights;
- fraud, impersonation or other unlawful conduct carried out by you through the service;
- your material breach of these Terms or the Community Guidelines; or
- your unlawful misuse of the service.
Where permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the VIDA operator and its lawful affiliates, officers, employees and service providers against such third-party claims to the extent caused by your conduct.
This obligation does not require you to indemnify VIDA for VIDA's own unlawful conduct, breach of a legal obligation, negligence or other responsibility that applicable law places on VIDA and does not permit VIDA to transfer to you.
Nothing in this section limits mandatory consumer rights.
23. General contractual provisions
These Terms, together with policies expressly incorporated into them where applicable and any transaction-specific terms accepted by you, govern your use of VIDA.
Nothing in this provision replaces a separate consent, authorization or acceptance that VIDA is legally required to obtain, including authorization relating to personal data or sensitive data.
If a provision of these Terms is found invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be treated as ineffective only to the extent required by applicable law and the remaining provisions will continue to operate where legally possible.
VIDA's failure or delay in enforcing a provision does not by itself waive the right to enforce that provision later.
Your VIDA account and your rights to use the service are personal to you and may not be sold or transferred to another person without VIDA's authorization.
Subject to applicable law and mandatory consumer rights, the VIDA operator may transfer or assign its rights and obligations as part of a legitimate corporate restructuring, financing, merger, acquisition or transfer of the VIDA business. Such a transfer does not remove rights that applicable law gives to members or consumers.
Nothing in these Terms creates an employment relationship, partnership, joint venture, fiduciary relationship or agency between a member and VIDA.
Sections that by their nature need to continue after an account closes — including provisions concerning intellectual property, retained records, legal responsibility, third-party claims and applicable rights — may continue to apply after termination to the extent necessary and permitted by law.
Headings and section titles are provided for readability and do not independently change the meaning of these Terms.
If VIDA is a regulated user-to-user service within the scope of the UK Online Safety Act 2023, applicable law may give a user the right to bring a claim for breach of contract where VIDA removes or restricts access to regulated user-generated content submitted by that user, or suspends or bans that user, in breach of VIDA's applicable Terms of Use. This provision does not state that the Online Safety Act applies solely because VIDA's operator is incorporated in the United Kingdom; applicability depends on the statutory scope of the service.
